Ingredients
3 juicy limes
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
4 cups cold water
Ice cubes
1/3 cup sugar (optional, to taste)
Instructions
Prepare the Limes:
Wash the limes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or residue.
Cut and Blend:
Cut the ends off each lime and then slice them into wedges.
Place the lime wedges (including peel) into a blender.
Add Water, Sugar and Sweetened Condensed Milk:
Pour 4 cups of cold water into the blender.
Add 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk.
Add 1/3 cup of sugar
Blend Until Smooth:
Blend the mixture on high speed for about 1-2 minutes, or until the lime peel is finely chopped and the mixture looks frothy.
Strain:
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove larger pieces of lime peel.
Serve:
Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Brazilian lemonade over the ice.
Garnish with a slice of lime on the rim of the glass, if desired.
Tips:
For a creamier texture, you can increase the amount of sweetened condensed milk slightly.
Adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste preferences and the natural sweetness of the limes.
Serve immediately for the best taste and texture, as the lime juice can become bitter if left for too long.
