Kylie Jenner & Karrueche's Signature Shrimp Tacos
When I made this recipe I honestly did not think it was going to be as good as it turned out. Kylie and aka true he really snapped with this recipe. From the crispiness of the shell, to the fresh ingredients and bold flavors, these tacos are perfect for a satisfying meal any day of the week.
Ingredients:
1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
Old Bay seasoning, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, salt (to season shrimp)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1 cup chopped onion
Mexican cheese, for topping
Sour cream, for topping
2 cups chopped cilantro
Homemade salsa (recipe on my blog)
White corn tortillas
Avocado oil (or oil of choice) for frying tortillas
Guacamole, for serving
Instructions:
Prepare the Shrimp:
Season the shrimp with Old Bay seasoning, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt according to your taste preferences.
Cook the Shrimp:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chopped tomatoes, chopped onion and chopped cilantro. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Add the seasoned shrimp, cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare the Toppings:
Prepare or have ready the Mexican cheese, sour cream, homemade salsa, and guacamole.
Fry the Tortillas:
In a separate skillet, heat a small amount of avocado oil over medium heat. Fry each corn tortilla for about 30 seconds on each side until lightly browned and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Assemble the Tacos:
To assemble each taco, place a portion of cooked shrimp onto a fried corn tortilla.
Top with chopped tomatoes, onions, cilantro, Mexican cheese, sour cream, a spoonful of my homemade salsa, and guacamole.
